It is a winter wonderland outside. Today, everything brown and ugly is gone. Heidi's ballet was cancelled because of the bad roads. I guess we'll just hole up and stay warm.
I ran this morning again today. Did a little better than yesterday. Little by little. I looked up that site Jeri gave me of the triathlon and that looks so fun! The mini one looks doable. I think it would be fun to do with some friends. Any takers? I would be kind of nervous to do it alone because I am a chicken, but I would love to have company. Misery always loves company.
My bishop brought me a giant loaf of bread yesterday. It is wonderful. It was home made and is already half gone! My kids LOVE white bread because I never buy it. I buy the whole grain stuff with nuts and seeds in it. The kind that actually has some flavor. Anyway, my little chilis eat up white bread as though it were cake and I have to admit, I love the home made stuff too. He told me how his wife had that problem where her body rejects the baby. They got 3 kids but it was rough each time. That would be terrible.
Gabe is really sick and laying in my bed. He's miserable. I hate to be sick. I kind of like it when he isn't feeling great though, because he is so much easier and mellower. Isn't that terrible for a mother to say!? Oh well. I never said I was a saint.
Time to go. I have laundry to do! Fun Fun Fun!!!

Um every mother says that, and it isn't terrible.
It was beautiful this morning to wake up to the snow. Did you hear the thunder and lightening about five?
I love this country. L O V E it. Brown, gray, green, wroght with flowers, or covered in the pristine white fluff.
It is beautiful here.
I am sicker than crud, crud, crud, and I would love nothing more than to lay in your feather bed, and smell your warm house. Your house always smells clean. Mine.. um, never does.
*grin*
You're funny! You are more than welcome to come lay in my big bed and I will make you herb tea and paint your toenails
OH SO TEMPTING.
what about a massage.
Add that to the mix, and it is a done deal!
I have tried to post this twice already, but for some reason it won't let me - MAYBE IT"S A SIGN that I shouldn't even be thinking about this...!
What I've been trying to tell you is that I am considering taking you up on the triathalon thing. I really did have a great sense of accomplishment last time, and I would like to do it again with a little more effort put into preparing... We could be long-distance training buddies and I might do more if I know I am accountable to someone else. ya know what I mean?
I'll think on it a bit longer and then see if you still want to do it...
I love the idea of a trialthalon. If I wasn't going to be in virginia for about a month I almost feel compelled to join you. I really must quit being so lazy. You, just writing about it may be the trick!
Oh wow! SCARY! Yes, I'll do it with you! The thought scares me to death but Lisa the mini one is only 8 laps (only) and then 8 mile bike ride and then the 5k. They are only letting 350 people sign up and you can have teams where each person does one thing. I would actually like to do all three. Not to win necessarily but to say that I did it!
Lets find out if we can still even sign up!
I have two friends who do triathalons together...If you are planning to do it...START SWIMMING NOW!! They both say that the swimming is the hardest part, and they swam certain days of the week months before doing the tria...
Laundry=yuck!
Warm feather bed with friends=Perfect!
I think I'm ready to commit - Let's go for it!
Last time I was like one of the first to register - I registered months and month in advance so that I know I had paid my money and couldn't back out...
The swim was hard for me - not being a swimmer, but not impossible. I just went last so I didn't hold anyone up... like I said, I went into it with my only goal being able to say that I finished. mY goal this time will be to take 15-20 minutes off my last time I should be able to achieve this, since I'm pretty sure it's like 3 miles less biking, and I plan to be a little more committed to training, so it should be an attainable goal. (my last time was 2 hours and like 50-something seconds, and my ONLY regret in the race (besides not training like I should have)was that I stopped (during my 5K 'walk') to talk to people and to go to the bathroom. If I hadn't dilly-dallied, I would have easily been UNDER the 2 hour mark...)
LETS DO IT!!!
I have no troubles doing the eight laps, that is NOTHIN, the other stuff, are you OUT OF YOUR MIND?
I could never do the swim part! Lisa, maybe you and I could be a team. *grin*
