I just watched to "Golden Compass". I really liked it. I don't know what the big to do was about it. I found it no different than any Harry Potter or other fantasy show.
I personally LOVE those fantasy stories. In fact, I'm in the middle of writing one myself.
I know people have said the author is an atheist or something. That doesn't bother me. If he can spin a good yard, that's what matters to me! lol
Anyway, it was a fun way to pass a hot afternoon with the kids. Now I'll go write a little myself.

I loved it too. I read all 3 books, they get a little tad risque but it is just a book. I feel bad for the people who don't open their minds. Good luck on your book.
It didn't do much for me, but I'm glad you liked it! The ending seemed to just hang there. I know it's begging you to come back for a sequel, but it reeeaaalllly dropped in my opinion.
